What we are

USA Book Reviewers is a group of readers and writers who understand just how hard it is to get a book noticed in today's crowded marketplace. Although it has never been a better time to be a writer, and the opportunities and rewards are boundless, still much effort must go into getting your book NOTICED. Because let's face it...no matter how amazing your book is, no one will ever read it or buy it unless they are encouraged to do so. This happens from advertising, word of mouth, and garnering generally favorable book reviews from a variety of sources.

As an Indie writer, you don't have all the tools at your immediate disposal as say a "Big 6" publisher. You probably don't have a publicist sending out hundreds (if not thousands!) of advanced reader copies to the biggest names in the industry months before a book's release in order to generate the type of buzz necessary to move a book. And what's even more frustrating is in order to sell more books you need positive word of mouth and reviews, but in order to get them you need to sell more books! It's a Catch-22, and one that has plagued many an Indie writer. How can I get people to notice and talk about my book?

We at USA Book Reviewers are committed book lovers from a wide variety of backgrounds and tastes in reading. But we all share one thing: A passion for reading and for helping Indie writers get their voices heard. Waiting for someone to leave a review on your sites can take weeks...months...if they ever come at all. If other people aren't reading and talking about it, why should the potential reader get excited? Having a good number of fair, well-thought out and well-rounded reviews does much in the way of raising your book's profile from that of a floundering stale property that isn't worth a look, to one that is drawing attention and excitement from readers.

Right now we have over 70 readers/reviewers in our "group" and that number is growing by the day. The readers best suited for your genre and who demonstrate the highest level of interest in your project will read your book (or books) and provide a written review, usually within 2-4 weeks (depending on how busy it is.). Depending on your genre and how long it is, sometimes it can be done faster, other times it may take a bit longer. But since several people will be reading/reviewing your book at once usually the reviews trickle in within 21-30 days. (Rush jobs are available for a slightly higher fee).

What is wonderful about this is that you won't just have one person leaving one review one place...you can have 4-30 reviews left on several sites, all from readers who have BOUGHT and READ your book! All of our readers are active GoodReads members, and if your book isn't already listed there, one of our librarians will add it for you. This is a GREAT place to get exposure and generate buzz, as it is the world's largest book review site!

Why use us?

There are several different ways you can go about trying to get reviews, but it can be a long, frustrating, and oftentimes disappointing experience. One way is to send free copies of your book to bloggers in the hope that they will eventually read it and write a blurb on their site. While this sounds nice, in reality most book bloggers are FLOODED with requests for reviews (as are we), and there are usually only 1 or 2 people running the blog (true, some have a few more). And although they may write a review on their own site, most don’t leave their reviews on other review sites. To be fair, some do. But again, that is only 1 review, and most book bloggers only have a few hundred people (if that) ever looking at their site. And your book may be front and center for a moment, but a few weeks or months or years from now how visible will it be? Our reviews will stay on the book selling site for as long as your book is listed there for sale, if you so desire. And you get more than 1 review. You will at minimum receive 4, and at the max 30 (this limit may be increased in the future). Why hit one bird with one stone when you can hit 30 birds with one?

And having a book blogger review your book is nice (nothing to stop you from doing that as well... we encourage it!) but many times the wait can be several weeks to several months, if ever at all. With USA Book Reviewers you will get a set time from project liaison who will go over the details with you, your book, and match you with the best reviewers. Depending on your wants, we tailor a reader/reviewer group to fit your needs.  Historically, review time can range anywhere from 48 hours, up to six weeks. We strive to have all done within a month, but sometimes, depending on the type of book you have and what reviewers are available, the wait can be shorter or a bit longer. Your liaison will coordinate the dates with you upon project launch.

What We Do

It’s simple, really. You determine how many reviewers you wish to recruit (4 minimum, 30 max at current time…this number may be increased in the future).  They each buy an e-copy of your book. They read it, review it, and promote/tweet about it.

The longer version—each reader will purchase a copy of your book from Amazon, B&N, or Smashwords, depending on what reading device the reviewer uses (it is usually Amazon). This also helps in your book's rankings.

After reading your book ( usually within 3-7 weeks, depending on genre, book length, how busy the readers are, etc…these details will be worked out with your project liaison), each reviewer will write out a detailed, thoughtful and constructive review (100-250 words). These reviews will be posted on Goodreads, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, (you must provide the reviewer with a coupon), Kobo, LibraryThing, iTunes (Apple), Google Books, and any other site that allows us to leave reviews.

**We also have a RUSH service with guaranteed completion within 10 business days.**

IN ADDITION, your book (and its review) will be tweeted about at least 5x from each reviewer to his or her followers with the links to Amazon. All of our reviewers have a minimum of 1500 followers (most have many, many more…our top guy has 100k+) and are all related to the reading writing industry (such as other writers, readers, bloggers, etc…). Because let’s face it. You singing the praises of your own book can come across as amateurish and possibly annoying. The trick is to get OTHERS to sing your books praises to thousands of people…And not just any people…the rightpeople!

The reviews are then yours to use as you please. Many authors put them on their website and use as promotional materials. Some add them to the opening pages of their books as "blurbs". Others add them to their books product page on Barnes&Noble and Amazon. The reviews are yours to do with as want, whole or in part.
